Bordeaux promises you pure pleasure against a historic backdrop. It hardly gets more French than this! The metropolis’s nearly 250,000 inhabitants call themselves Bordelais, by the way. Countless cafés, bars, clubs as well as jazz and blues venues line the old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bordeaux wine region is the largest of its kind. 80% of production goes to the typically dry red wine. But Bordeaux is also world-famous for its exquisite gastronomy.
